NATIONAL SURVEY ON PROBLEM DRUG USE IN NIGEIRA AND
KEY INFORMANT SURVEY

The national survey of problem drug users and key informants was funded as part of the European
Union (EU)-funded, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)-implemented project on Response to Drugs and Related Organised Crime in Nigeria. The survey which involved a sample size of 9,350 drug users and 2,787 key informants was the first study of its kind in Nigeria, it was conducted in all states, and the Federal Capital Territory.
Data are currently being analysed, and findings expected soon. Its successful completion is a milestone in our effort to understand the drug use situation in the country and to guide effective interventions.
