Introduction
Alcohol and substance abuse in adolescence has been highlighted in several studies.“ Also brought to the fore in different researches has been the sexual habits of this population.” This studies have found the desire to engage in such behaviors to be associated with a number of factors including unhappy and poor background culminating in defective personality development; the pressure to succeed in academic work, and the influence of significant others (peer groups parents etc). The last influence of significant others particularly of the individual’s peer group is the specific focus of this paper.
