Current researches on alcohol use suggest that the issue of alcohol use and personality, thought by some authors to produce no clear-cut pattern is far from being laid to rest. For one reason, alcohol abuse is a major problem affecting the physiological, psychological and social
life of the users and abusers. Alcohol abuse is a major factor in various types of accidents both vehicular and industrial. Since alcohol use involves life pattern of the user; the search for the personality variables that may distinguish between alcohol users and non users will continue.
